About Kit Carballo

Kit Carballo is a Latin Jazz acoustical guitarist and composer. His complex rhythmic syncopation combined with provocative instrumental melodies have always been at the heart of his music.

Kit was born in Washington, DC and has been playing guitar since the age of 8. He played in a variety of progressive rock, and rock and roll bands while in his teens. Kit developed a love of Latin Jazz and studied music with international champion guitarist and composer Larry Le Master and developed additional technique through Al Di Meola, world famous guitarist and composer.

Kits explosive finger style techniques owes much to influences including Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Kazuhito Yamashita. In his Latin Jazz compositions which incorporates American Jazz, Flamingo and Classical Tint, Kit has mastered the diatonic arrangements and has created an instrumental ballad of hauntingly beautiful musical pieces that delivers multiple climaxes.

Kit Carballo currently resides in New Freedom, Pennsylvania with his wife Sarah.

“Bridges of Blue (Just for You)” is his title debut album on Sound Works Audio Productions. This is Latin Jazz at its best!
